More sock yarn pictures!

Ok I have a few more to post before I am able to post the final product. It defintely changed a bit once I microwaved it. Maybe there was a bit too much dye? I think it's pretty cool looking. We'll have to see once it's knitted up!
Tomorrow I should have a finished product to put up! I'm so excited! Now I can think about dying the yarn for my first sweater. I'll be using easter egg dye this time though!

I finally DID it.

Ok I finally decided I had the guts to try and dye some of my own sock yarn. I received this from my secret pal last summer during the first summer swappers event on www.knittinghelp.com. This yarn is knitpicks Fingerweight 100% wool sock yarn. I used koolaid to dye my yarn. The colors I had were Blue, Red, Orange and Green. Once it is completed dried, I will post another finished product. Lane was a big help. He was told NOT to touch the yarn b/c I was afraid the Koolaid would dye his little fingers. You can see for yourself how well he listened!

My 2 projects!

I have 2 projects I'm currently working on. One is a sock out of Jitterbug Sock yarn by Colinette. I love the colors. I can't remember the name though.

The other is the Alene Camisole from Diynetwork. I need to seam up the sides and then pick up stitches to start the lace portion to the bottom half. Here are some pictures!
Just wanted to leave a knitting update. Lots of things going on around here!

Oddball Blanket #4!!

Well I was able to complete my 3 inch section of the odd ball blanket in less than a week. I really think I could of finished it before Friday if it wasn't for my monthly friend. It's ok though. I will get it out in the mail on Monday. 1 week from when I received. Not to bad, if I do say so myself!

I used caron yarn. The color was dusty rose. I used the waves pattern from knitpicks.com afghan kit. It was really easy and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to receiving blanket #5 when my time comes around. It was great to see it work up and I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.

PS Now it's back to working on all those projects that I already have yarn for!

Rough day

Well today is day one of my monthly friend. My endometriosis is really getting bad again. I felt miserable all night and then this morning I wake up and start and now it's even worse. I hate this feeling and I hate that they can't do anything to fix it. I just hope and pray that in the fall we are able to conceive another baby and then after I have the baby, I will have a doctor that will just take it all out. I will be 26 then and would be perfectly happy with 2 children.

So I just have to get through the next 3 days, of course they have to be work days for mikie so I don't get much relief/help until he is home from work.

Only a few more months of this nasty mess and then hopefully the time will be right for another one and then I can just be done with periods. I wont be sad to see my insides go. I've been in so much pain since I was 16....

Ugh.. Bad day..

Oddball Blanket #4

I received the blanket in the mail yesterday from UPS. I was so excited. This is my FIRST oddball blanket. My first real charity knitting as well. The knitter before also included some cute little gifts in the box as well. I'll get some pictures up later tonight, when Lane takes his nap.

I was able to knit about an inch on it last night. I am using caron yarn. The color is a dusty rose. I am so excited about it. I am using a pattern called "waves". It came from my knitpicks.com afghan kit. I think it will be something different. Atleast I hope so.

I hope to get another inch or so knitted today. I want to get a few little goodies for the knitter after me to throw into the box. Hopefully I can finish it all up and get it out by the end of the week or early next week. That's my goal atleast. Then it's back to working on projects I currently have yarn for.

So there's my excitement for the day! I can't wait to see how these blankets turn out. I hope we can "vote" on which charities they go to. It would be nice to spread the love around I think!

What tarot card are you? :)

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
