Seriously? Sock yarn!

I am so very excited. I'm making my first yarn purchase of the year! I've been working out of my stash so far this year, trying to clean it up a bit. I've also been working to finish up current UFO's. I'm doing quite well along with my charity knitting.

I was on ravelry the other day and ran across a post about seriously? Sock yarn. It's grey's anatomy inspired. I realized I had missed the signup date to order the yarn through ravelry so I went to sknitches.com and found the yarn on their website. Much to my dismay it is sold out!

So I did the only rational thing and emailed the company to find out when their might be more! The lady was so wonderful. She offered me the one and only skein she currently had left! She did inform me there would be more in stock in 2-3 weeks though.

So I'm impatiently awaiting her to send me an invoice through paypal. Once I pay her, I will be the proud owner of some seriously? grey's anatomy sock yarn!

Furry Baby Booties!

I got this really cute pattern to make Fun Fur Baby booties! Since I don't know what we'll be having yet, I chose to do it in a soft yellow with white cuffs. I used my "lynn" doll to model them for me. She was the baby doll my grandmother gave me when I was younger. She is also modeling a pink baby hat I did using my loom kit. She is just too cute!

Charity baby blankets!

I started 2 charity baby blankets. The top one is worested weight yarn. It's called Summer fun. The bottom one is a dk/baby weight yarn and will be for a preemie baby. It's called Spring Fling. They are both about 4 inches long and will be traveling to the next knitters hopefully tomorrow! I will finish them off and then mail them to snowbear who will take them to her area hospital.

Lane and the Easter Bunny!

We were in at walmart yesterday and they had the easter bunny. They were doing the free picture thing and I convinced Lane to take a picture with him. This is the response I got! I love it. It's totally him! :)

Doctor's visit was good!

I went for a checkup on Thursday. She seemed pleased with the way I was feeling and did a quick pelvic. She spent about 20 minutes trying to find the heartbeat. We did on the tummy first but after 5 minutes or so she couldn't find it so she did one transvaginal. We could hear my heartbeat but couldn't find the babies. She was just about to quit when the little skittle rolled the right way and we heard it for about 30 secs. It was really neat!

She told me to keep doing the progestrone suppositories and she wanted to see me back in 4 weeks! She did tell me no "nookie" for the next 3 weeks while we do the suppositories! Poor mikie!

I'm feeling ok. Allergies are bad though! It was 90 yesterday and in the 70's today. Just beautiful weather! I hope it stays!

Palindrome Hat!

Here is my completed Palindrome hat! I was so happy I finished it. I was able to wear it in the snow! I use the pattern that Silver has on her website. It was a lot of fun, easy and my first Hat project. I love the cables! It's made out of Patons Decor yarn.

Lane's first time in the snow!

Friday we had some snow! Lane was able to go out into the snow for the first time! We had about 3 inches of snow in the ground. He had such a great time! Mikie came home a bit later and we took him out again!

We built a snowman but lane knocked it over before I could get a picture. He had so much fun throwing snowballs at me and his daddy! I'm so glad he was able to experience the snow!

The best part was it snowed in the morning and everything was gone and melted by 4pm that same day! Ahhh I love living in Texas!
